March Teen Council Meeting

YORK At York County 4-H’s monthly Teen Council meeting on March 27 members discussed upcoming events in 4-H. Teen council also voted on having a service project where you can make 10 greeting cards by May for veterans, 4-H volunteers, elderly people at nursing homes, first responders and mothers.

The main agenda discussed was that teen council members who miss 3 consecutive meetings will be removed from the council unless the absences are excused by the president.

Some of the upcoming events discussed at the teen council meeting were the Rock Hill ATC FFA plant sale, the Thundering Herd Fuzzy Fun Horse Show, Senior Night at York Place, and the York Soil and Water Service Project.

4-H teens should keep an eye out soon for information on the upcoming South Carolina 4-H Congress to be held July 8-11 at Clemson University, exclusively for 4-H senior members. Now that is going to be a smashing event!
