Fuzzy Fun Horse Show

YORK The Fuzzy Fun Horse Show was held on April 13 at A and K Ranch on South Shiloh Road in York.

This show had ten separate events including Showmanship, English Equitation, Western Horsemanship, Speed Trail, Texas Barrels, Stake Race, Flag Race, Key Hole, Goat Untying, and even a purely fun event called Egg and Spoon. The classes consisted of ages ranging from 5-19 years.

A.J Dover, who is a founding member of the Hotshots’ Competition Team and was a participant in the Fuzzy Fun Horse Show, led everyone in a Cowboy Church Sermon and was the flag bearer on his personal horse Cowboy before the event officially began. Christian Ruth also did a fantastic job of singing the national anthem for everyone.

The Fuzzy Fun Horse Show was an opportunity for 4-H youth to showcase the horsemanship knowledge and skills that they have gained throughout the years.

Furthermore, this event was a fundraiser for the Thundering Herd 4-H Horse Club. The York County 4-H Hotshots’ Competition Team sold drinks, hotdogs, and chips all to earn money for their fellow 4-H youth. It was also an opportunity for them to promote their own competitive shotgun team because they were able to speak to The Fuzzy Fun Horse Show participants in an attempt to gain a higher attendance at their June Interest Meeting.
