Black’s Peaches in York will host York County 4-H’s first Community Bluegrass Jam of the season on Friday, March 21 from 6-8 pm.
Black’s Peaches is located at 1800 Black Highway in York.
The event is open to the public. Youth of all ages and ability levels are invited to come out to play, sing and experience Bluegrass music with local musicians.
Black’s Peaches’ kitchen will be open and serving its full menu during the event.
A limited number of prime rib plates are available for call ahead orders by Wednesday, March 19. Plates are $25 and include prime rib, hash brown casserole and a side salad. Call 803-684-2333 to reserve your plate.
The Bluegrass Jam is in conjunction with York County 4-H’s Bluegrass Project. Now in its second season, the project has spread to include York, Cherokee, Spartanburg and Greenville Counties as the Upstate 4-H Bluegrass Project.
“The Upstate Bluegrass Project is a youth-focused initiative designed to preserve and celebrate the rich history of Bluegrass music while fostering leadership, community involvement, and personal growth,” says Kristin Kunde, York County 4-H agent and project developer.
