This month’s Pet of the Month is Bear, a sweet older boy owned by 17-year-old 4-H member, Evie Martell. Bear is a 14 year old cocker spaniel poodle mix who is deaf and suspected to be blind.
Bear joined Evie’s family a few years ago and she has been taking great care of him ever since!
Bear is super friendly and loves to be pet. Bear is a great example of how adopting an older dog can be equally as rewarding and meaningful as adopting a puppy!
Evie is excited to share Bear’s story with other 4-H members and encourages other members to consider adopting a pet who may be older and need a home.
